“Press with mass and keep assaulting constantly”: the enemy uses a monotonous tactic in the Pokrovsk sector
In the Pokrovsk sector, Russian occupation forces continue to apply pressure, but there have been no radical changes along the line of contact.
Lieutenant Artem Pribylnov, an officer of the communications section of the 155th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Anna of Kyiv, said this on air on Suspilne.
“In the first days of the new year, the situation in the Pokrovsk sector remains tense but mostly controlled. Hostilities have not stopped for a single day. The enemy continues to apply pressure, but there are no radical changes along the line of contact”, — Artem Pribylnov said.
According to him, the 155th Separate Mechanized Brigade is holding designated lines and carrying out defensive and counter-sabotage measures together with adjacent units.
“The enemy has no success and currently has no operational breakthrough. The general trend of the Russians is to press with mass and constantly assault. In this way, they are trying to compensate for the lack of maneuver capability and the absence of success with the number of assaults”, — the officer noted.
He added that the Russians are using continuous infantry attacks, combined attacks with armored vehicles when conditions allow, as well as continuous use of drones for reconnaissance and fire adjustment.
“These are not signs of strength, but rather attempts to exhaust our defense. Their current objectives are tactical — to put pressure on the flanks and complicate logistics. There is no talk of a rapid capture; this is a gradual imposition of attritional warfare”, — Artem Pribylnov said.
