Phoenix pilots hit 20,000 enemy targets worth over $2 billion in a year
In 2025, Phoenix pilots struck more than 20,000 enemy targets with a total estimated value exceeding $2 billion, and also eliminated 6,320 occupiers.
This was reported by the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine (SBGS).
In addition, another 4,159 Russians were rendered combat-ineffective thanks to drones.
“At the beginning of 2025, the border guards of the Phoenix unit were only starting their development and scaling. Over the year, the unit joined the presidential ‘Drone Line’ project, became part of the Unmanned Systems Forces Grouping, and entered the top three unmanned aerial systems units”, — the statement said.
The SBGS noted that the Phoenix unit reached a high level of effectiveness thanks to an increase in both the number and quality of pilots, as well as engineering and sapper specialists.
“Border guards were improving every day and honing their skills. This is only the beginning — Phoenix is just gaining momentum, and there is more to come”, — the SBGS assured.
