Air defense troops of the 21st Separate Mechanized Brigade used an FPV drone to shoot down the Russian reconnaissance drone “Veshchyi Oleg”.
They released the corresponding video on their page on December 31.
“‘Veshchyi Oleg’ is not going anywhere anymore. This curious bird was recently brought down in the Ukrainian sky by our air defenders”, — the defenders reported.
The military noted that it was a Russian reconnaissance drone, which the occupiers, due to their strange belief in their own greatness, gave a loud name — “Veshchyi Oleg”.
“This time the prophecy did not come true: ‘Oleg’s’ life ended not because of a horse, but thanks to the skill of our warriors from the ‘Sapsan’ interceptor team. ‘Veshchyi Oleg’ is the latest Russian development, about which little is currently known. But the main thing we already know for sure is this: Ukrainian Cossacks know how to take such characters straight out of the sky”, — the 21st Separate Mechanized Brigade assured.
