Over three dozen artillery systems and exactly 1,000 occupiers: General Staff publishes pre-New Year enemy losses

Over the past day, Russian invaders lost 1,000 occupiers and 722 units of equipment.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on December 31.

The General Staff also noted:

“Due to the constant inflow of updated intelligence data, there arose a need to adjust some categories of the enemy’s total losses — artillery systems, MLRS, air defense systems, operational-tactical UAVs, automotive and special equipment. The total figures have been adjusted, while daily losses are reported as usual”.

Total combat losses of the enemy from February 24, 2022 to December 31, 2025 are estimated as:

  • personnel — about 1,207,910 (+1,000)

  • tanks — 11,481 (+4)

  • armored combat vehicles — 23,845 (+4)

  • artillery systems — 35,642 (+33)

  • MLRS — 1,586 (+1)

  • air defense systems — 1,266 (+0)

  • aircraft — 434 (+0)

  • helicopters — 347 (+0)

  • operational-tactical UAVs — 97,684 (+552)

  • cruise missiles — 4,136 (+0)

  • ships / boats — 28 (+0)

  • submarines — 2 (+0)

  • vehicles and fuel tankers — 72,247 (+127)

  • special equipment — 4,035 (+1)
