Lieutenant General Remigijus Baltrėnas, Director General of the NATO International Military Staff, stated that Ukraine currently has one of the most experienced armed forces in the world and has also built a comprehensive and effective system to counter drones.
As reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, he said this during a press conference following his visit to Ukraine.
According to him, the best path for NATO is close cooperation with the Ukrainian military in order to gain the most up-to-date combat experience.
“Ukraine is fighting not only for its own freedom — it is fighting for the freedom of the entire Western world”, — Remigijus Baltrėnas assured.
He expressed deep gratitude to the courageous Ukrainian warriors and to the entire people of Ukraine, who are making an enormous sacrifice for the sake of freedom.
“We, the countries of Western democracy, must make every effort to provide Ukraine with the best possible support to win this struggle and achieve victory in the war”, — Lieutenant General Baltrėnas emphasized.
