Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with the President of the German Bundestag, Julia Klöckner.
The President reported this on December 15.
“We discussed mechanisms that will make it possible to use frozen Russian assets for the benefit of Ukraine. We appreciate Germany’s leadership on this issue.
We also spoke separately about our joint efforts with partners to end the war, establish a just peace, and guarantee security.
I thank Julia Klöckner and the entire Bundestag for supporting Ukraine — in particular, for allocating €11.5 billion in defense assistance for next year.
This will help our warriors and the country as a whole in defending against Russian aggression”, — Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted.
The President also met with the Federal President of Germany, Frank-Walter Steinmeier, thanking him for Germany’s leadership in helping our people.
“I informed the President about our work with the United States toward a just peace, reliable security guarantees, and economic recovery.
Thank you for the conversation. It is important to ensure Ukraine’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and protection of national interests. I am grateful that Germany consistently supports this position”, — Volodymyr Zelenskyy wrote.
