On the Oleksandrivka axis, in the area of responsibility of the 37th Marine Brigade, enemy assault operations continue. The day before, the marines captured 10 soldiers of the Russian army.

Denys Bobkov, senior officer of the communications department of the 37th Separate Marine Brigade, reported this live on Suspilne News.

According to him, everything happened in the village of Ivanivka in Dnipropetrovsk region, on the border with Donetsk region, from which the settlement is separated by the Vovcha River. The enemy has been trying to storm Ivanivka for a very long time, as this would open a path deeper into Dnipropetrovsk region.

“The village was cleared back in November by fighters of our unit, but the enemy does not stop trying to enter it. This is called the infiltration method, when the enemy accumulates on the outskirts of the settlement in small infantry groups — from two to three people. These groups then gather into one larger assault group and continue conducting combat operations”, — the senior communications officer of the 37th Separate Marine Brigade said.

Another attempt to storm Ivanivka took place a few days ago. And again, unsuccessfully. Fighters of the brigade’s second battalion cleared the settlement; ten occupiers surrendered, and five were eliminated.

“The first time the fighters cleared Ivanivka, there were 19 prisoners, this time — 10. The enemy is actively surrendering. These fighters are from the, let’s say, ‘remote corners’ of the Russian Federation. They don’t have much motivation, except that they signed a contract for money or to avoid going to prison. Especially since our fighters act competently, actively, and persistently”, — Denys Bobkov noted.
