Volodymyr Zelensky instructed Ukraine’s Minister of Defence Denys Shmyhal to carry out an urgent overhaul of supervisory boards in the defence sector.

The President wrote this on his channel on December 3.

“Management and control over internal processes in companies are exercised precisely through supervisory boards, and this must be ensured one hundred percent”, — Volodymyr Zelensky noted.

He also discussed with Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko a personnel reboot in the energy sector.

“The pace of transformation is good and should ensure full transparency of management.

In particular, today the powers of a significant part of the supervisory boards of major state-owned energy companies will be terminated: Centrenergo, Gas Transmission System Operator of Ukraine (GTSO), Market Operator, Ukrainian Distribution Networks, and the Energy Company of Ukraine.

New members of the supervisory boards must be appointed already in December, in accordance with a clear and fair procedure”, — the President wrote.

He also instructed the Prime Minister to inform Ukraine’s key partners about the measures the Cabinet of Ministers is taking to ensure trust in Ukraine and Ukrainian institutions.
