Ukraine’s Minister of Defence Denys Shmyhal discussed the implementation of joint defense initiatives with the EU High Representative Kaja Kallas.
The Minister of Defence of Ukraine reported this on social media.
According to Denys Shmyhal, the EU will continue to develop defense cooperation with Ukraine.
The Defence Minister thanked her for the productive discussion during the EU Defence Ministers’ meeting, as well as for the consistent leadership in supporting Ukraine.
“We appreciate the EU’s readiness to strengthen long-term cooperation with Ukraine in the field of the defense industry. We discussed the implementation of joint defense initiatives that will strengthen Ukraine and Europe — including Ukraine’s participation in the SAFE projects”, — the head of the defence ministry said.
“We also discussed the importance of using frozen Russian assets for the benefit of our state. I am grateful to the European Union for its important and tangible support!” — Denys Shmyhal stated.
