The Minister of Defence of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal and the Minister for Industry of Denmark Morten Bødskov discussed the implementation of the Memorandum signed the previous day, which provides for the establishment of joint defence productions in Denmark and the launch of a demonstration hub for Ukrainian security solutions.

The head of the Ukrainian defence ministry reported this on his official page.

“We discussed the implementation of the Memorandum, which opens up additional opportunities for creating joint defence productions with Ukraine on the territory of Denmark. The relevant document was signed yesterday”, – the statement reads.

According to Denys Shmyhal, the Ukrainian side is ready to provide maximum support to Danish defence companies seeking partners to implement projects in Ukraine. The parties also discussed the prospect of launching a demonstration hub in Denmark, where Ukrainian security and defence technologies will be showcased.

Denys Shmyhal thanked Denmark for introducing the “Danish model” of support for the Ukrainian defence-industrial complex, as well as for its assistance in strengthening the long-range capabilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

He emphasized that the visit of a large Danish business delegation to Ukraine demonstrates the deepening of economic partnership between the two countries.

The minister also stressed the need to strengthen sanctions against Russia in order to prevent the use of Western technologies in the production of Russian weaponry.
