Ukraine’s Minister of Defense Denys Shmyhal announced the launch of new joint production projects in the defense industry on the territory of Denmark.

He reported this on his social media, noting that this is provided for by the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the two countries on October 6.

“The memorandum envisions Ukrainian defense companies starting production in Denmark, establishing joint facilities, exchanging technologies, and attracting EU funding to implement joint projects”, — the head of the Ministry of Defense said.

According to him, the signed document is “a major step toward building a new security system in Europe and strengthening the defense-industrial capabilities of our nations”.

“During the war, the jointly produced equipment will support Ukraine’s Defense Forces. In the long term, Ukrainian solutions and experience in the security sector will also enhance the defense capability of our allies”, — Denys Shmyhal noted.
