“Drone Wall” and over €360 million for production: President held talks with the Prime Minister of Denmark
While attending the European Political Community Summit in Denmark, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy discussed with Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen the creation of a European “Drone Wall,” and also expressed gratitude for a new military aid package worth over €360 million, directed towards Ukrainian production.
The Head of State announced this on his page.
The focus was on recent violations of the airspace of Denmark, Poland, Romania, Norway, and Estonia by Russia. “Russia is escalating, and we discussed how we can respond to these threats”, – the statement said.
The President emphasized that the expertise of Ukrainian specialists and Ukrainian technologies should become an important part of the EU “Drone Wall” initiative. He added that a group of Ukrainian servicemen is already in Denmark, assisting their Danish colleagues.
Separately, the parties discussed the implementation of the PURL initiative. The President thanked Denmark for its €90 million contribution to this program, as well as for the military aid package worth over €360 million for Ukrainian production.
“I thank Prime Minister Frederiksen and the Danish people for their strong support”, – Volodymyr Zelenskyy concluded.
