Над кабіною розгорнута величезна горизонтальна антенна решітка з численними елементами типу «хвильовий канал» (Yagi). On January 12, units of the Ukrainian Unmanned Systems Forces carried out a series of high-precision strikes against enemy air defense systems in the Zaporizhzhia and Donetsk directions.

This was reported by the Commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Major Robert Brovdi, callsign “Madyar”.

As a result of combat operations, three expensive and key elements of the enemy’s air defense were destroyed: a Prima P-18 radar station, a Tor surface-to-air missile system, and a Tunguska surface-to-air missile and gun system.

Record strike depth

The destroyed targets became the ninth, tenth, and eleventh enemy radar and air defense systems eliminated since the beginning of January. All operations were carried out by crews of the 412th Unmanned Systems Brigade “Nemesis” using middle-strike capabilities.

The key feature of these strikes was record depth. The targets were hit at a distance of more than 100 kilometers from the line of contact. The kamikaze drones were equipped with warheads weighing over 10 kg, ensuring guaranteed destruction even of protected but critically important enemy air defense systems.

Strategic significance

The elimination of these systems has direct strategic consequences.

The Prima P-18 radar is one element of a radar surveillance system that provides detection of aerial targets at long distances. Its destruction creates “blind zones” in the structure of Russian air defense and reduces the effectiveness of air defense command and control.

The Tor SAM system and the Tunguska SAM-gun system form the backbone of the close-range air defense layer protecting troops and key facilities from air attacks. The loss of these systems significantly weakens the protection of enemy groupings in the Zaporizhzhia and Donetsk directions and increases the vulnerability of rear infrastructure.
