Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Oleksandr Syrskyi, held a telephone conversation with the Commander of U.S. Army Europe and Africa and Commander of NATO Allied Land Command, General Christopher Donahue. The key topic was strengthening Ukraine’s air defense amid Russia’s continuous missile and drone terror.

This was reported in a publication on the Commander-in-Chief’s official page.

Terror Statistics and the night attack of January 13

According to the Commander-in-Chief, the situation on the front remains difficult: the enemy continues offensive actions despite significant losses. At the same time, the aggressor deliberately targets energy infrastructure, using freezing temperatures as a tool of pressure.

  • During the last night (January 13), the enemy attacked Ukraine with 25 missiles and 293 strike UAVs.

  • From December 2025 to January 2026, six massive strikes on Ukraine’s territory have already been recorded.

  • Total since the beginning of the invasion: Russia has used more than 13.3 thousand missiles and over 142.3 thousand strike drones.

Critical needs and the Path to Peace

Oleksandr Syrskyi emphasized that the Armed Forces’ top priority is receiving additional air defense missile systems and ammunition. The U.S. side was also informed of other army requests within the PURL initiative.

“Achieving a sustainable ceasefire is possible only under the condition of increased consolidated pressure on the enemy from our Western partners”, — General Oleksandr Syrskyi emphasized.
