The strike on the production facilities of the Atlant Aero plant in Taganrog, Rostov Oblast, Russia, on the night of Tuesday, January 13, will significantly reduce the enemy’s capacity to produce drones that Russians regularly use to attack Ukrainian cities.
This was stated on Tuesday, January 13, by the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which carried out the operation jointly with the Security Service of Ukraine’s Special Operations Center “A” unit.
Videos showing the aftermath of the attack were also published on social media.
“Each halted production line means dozens and hundreds of drones that will not fly over Ukrainian cities, will not kill civilians, and will not destroy homes”, — the statement said.
It is noted that Atlant Aero carried out a full cycle of design, production, and testing of Molniya-type strike-reconnaissance UAVs, as well as components for Orion UAVs for Russian occupation forces.
Thus, the strike on this strategic enemy enterprise significantly weakens the occupiers’ technical capabilities to conduct reconnaissance and strike operations.
The enemy is attempting to develop the production of naval drones and copy successful Ukrainian practices — both technical solutions and tactics.
