General Oleksandr Syrskyi met with a British delegation led by Air Chief Marshal Sir Richard Knighton.
This was reported on the morning of December 20 by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“I provided British colleagues with a detailed briefing on the operational situation at the front. I paid particular attention to the measures being taken by the Armed Forces of Ukraine to disrupt the Russian Federation’s autumn–winter campaign.
Despite significant pressure from the enemy on certain sections of the front, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are managing to successfully counterattack and inflict substantial losses on Russian troops in personnel and equipment.
We also discussed the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in particular in strike capabilities for the land, air, and maritime components of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
Taking this opportunity, I thanked Air Chief Marshal Sir Richard Knighton, the government, and the people of the United Kingdom for their consistent political support for Ukraine and strong military assistance to our Defense Forces.
The visit of our British partners once again confirmed the effectiveness of our military cooperation and strategic partnership.
We will win together! Glory to Ukraine!” — Oleksandr Syrskyi noted.
