Another group of Ukrainian children and teenagers has been returned to territory controlled by Ukraine from the temporarily occupied part of Kherson region.
This was reported on December 18 by the Head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin.
The ages of the rescued children range from 7 to 17.
Among them is a 12-year-old girl who had not left her home for almost four years in order to avoid being forced to attend a Russian school.
All this time, she secretly studied online under the Ukrainian curriculum. This was extremely dangerous, as the occupiers could check her phone at any moment.
A 12-year-old boy has required regular medical treatment since childhood, but after his city was occupied by the Russian army, medical care became unavailable.
The hospital was closed and looted, and there was no access to the necessary medications or proper medical supervision.
“Fortunately, these and other children are already on free land alongside their loved ones and are currently staying at ‘Hope and Recovery’ centers, where they receive the necessary medical, social, and psychological assistance.
Their rescue became possible within the framework of the President of Ukraine’s initiative Bring Kids Back UA and with the support of the Save Ukraine team.
I sincerely thank everyone who continues to work to ensure that every Ukrainian child returns home”, — Oleksandr Prokudin noted.
