President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of Slovenia Tanja Fajon, who concluded her visit to Ukraine in Kyiv after traveling to several regions.
The Head of State reported this on his official page.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized that the minister personally witnessed the consequences of Russian aggression in the regions, where “life during wartime is difficult and demands daily struggle.”
“Such support is very important, and we deeply appreciate it”, — the President stressed.
During the meeting, the parties discussed:
- Slovenia’s participation in the PURL defense initiative;
- the SAFE mechanism and opportunities for Slovenia’s involvement in joint projects;
- diplomatic steps toward achieving a real and just peace;
- efforts to return Ukrainian children abducted by Russia;
- and the opening of the next negotiation clusters on Ukraine’s accession to the European Union.
“Thank you for all the support and the projects Slovenia has backed and participated in, especially humanitarian ones. We also value all military assistance — it is important for our people”, — the President concluded.
