The grouping of the Russian occupation army in the Pokrovsk–Myrnohrad direction numbers about 150,000 personnel. This allows the occupiers to conduct assaults around the clock, trying to find gaps in Ukrainian defenses.
This was stated on an Army TV stream by Sergeant Oleksii Hutsenko, spokesperson for the Korsar Unmanned Systems Battalion of the 38th Separate Marine Brigade named after Hetman Petro Sahaidachnyi.
“The New Year, Easter, or Green Holidays do not affect the war. The enemy has concentrated an enormous amount of manpower and equipment in the Pokrovsk–Myrnohrad direction — about 150,000 troops. Some of them are already no longer alive, because we are working on that,” he said.
The enemy uses all possible means to assault Ukrainian Defense Forces’ positions — from infiltration by small groups and so-called ‘meat assaults’ to mechanized attacks.
“Constant attempts to assault — small groups, ‘meat’ assaults, mechanized assaults. They push along the entire line, trying to probe for any gap in our defenses, in the defenses of our brothers-in-arms. So this filth is being eliminated 24/7”, — the serviceman added.
At the same time, the occupiers are not using fundamentally new tactics. The only significant innovation is the presence of a well-equipped and trained unit specializing in UAV operations.
“They are not resorting to new tactics. They use literally all possibilities to assault our positions. The only thing that has been noted — and there is no point in hiding it — is that their special UAV unit is present in this direction. You can see the quality of training and the availability of a large number of drones of various types”, — Oleksii Hutsenko reported.
