Since the beginning of the counteroffensive operation of the Defense Forces in the Dobropillia area, Russian invaders have already lost more than 12,000 of their military personnel there.

This was reported by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, in his regular video address, following a relevant briefing by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Oleksandr Syrskyi.

“We spoke with him for almost an hour — about all frontline directions, the preparation of our brigades, and logistics. Special attention now, of course, is on the Dobropillia operation. From its beginning until today, the Russians have already suffered more than 12,000 losses, and that is only there — only in the Pokrovsk and Dobropillia areas, specifically since August 21. Of these 12,000, more than 7,200 are irrecoverable losses”, — the Head of State said.

He also thanked the soldiers currently fighting for Kupiansk and noted that difficult battles are ongoing on the Novopavlivka direction as well, but added that our defenders there are achieving “really good results.”

In addition, the President also received a briefing from the head of the Security Service of Ukraine, Vasyl Maliuk.

“Good briefing. Regarding our operations — I approved some of the Service’s plans, our asymmetric responses to the Russian war. We also discussed the results of our Service warriors — the ‘A’ Special Operations Center of the Security Service of Ukraine. They are fighting on the front alongside other components of the Defense Forces, particularly in the Pokrovsk direction and other sections of the front”, — the statement reads.
