In July, Ukraine's Defence Forces inflicted significant losses on the Russian occupiers: almost 31,000 troops, thousands of drones and hundreds of targets hit.

This was reported by Ukraine’s Ministry of Defence.

Ukraine is waging a war using modern technologies. Thanks to the DELTA combat system, troops receive real-time information about the situation on the battlefield, record the results of strikes and track the effectiveness of the Defence Forces’ operations.

Ukraine’s Ministry of Defence has released data on Russian army losses that were confirmed and verified in the DELTA system during July.

Almost 31,000 Russian troops put out of action

Over the second month of summer, Ukraine’s defenders killed or critically wounded 30,957 service members of the Russian army. The enemy suffered the heaviest losses in Donetsk region.

Each of these cases is confirmed in the DELTA combat system. Ukrainian units continue to operate in a way that prevents the enemy from massing forces for further offensive action.

Besides its losses in manpower, in July the Russian army lost 259 tanks — twice as many as were destroyed in June.

Ukraine is stepping up strikes on enemy logistics

Destroying enemy logistics remains one of the key areas of the Defence Forces’ work. In July, the number of targets hit at distances of more than 50 kilometres rose by 74%.

Ukrainian middle-strike drones are increasingly effective in controlling not only the enemy’s overland supply routes but also its maritime communications — in particular in the waters of the Sea of Azov and near the Kerch Strait.

A record 236 boats and speedboats were hit over the month.

Systematic strikes on Russia’s supply chains are intended to complicate the resupply of its occupation forces and reduce the amount of personnel, equipment, fuel and ammunition the enemy can deliver to the front line.

A record number of Russian drones destroyed

Countering enemy UAVs remains a separate priority — both in combat areas and in protecting Ukrainian cities.

In July, the Defence Forces set a record for the number of Russian UAVs shot down, destroying 54,870 drones of both the multirotor and fixed-wing types.

The effectiveness of countering Russian attack drones, including the Shahed type, continues to grow thanks to the joint efforts of air defence units, interceptor drone crews, army aviation and mobile fire teams that protect Ukraine’s skies.

Unmanned ground vehicles carried out almost 20,000 tasks

Ukraine continues to scale up the use of robotic systems at the front. In July, troops carried out almost 20,000 logistics and evacuation missions using unmanned ground vehicles.

The further development and integration of robots into combat processes is essential to saving the lives of Ukrainian troops and reducing the risks they face while carrying out tasks on the front line.

As ArmyInform reported earlier, in July 2026 Russia set a new record for the use of guided aerial bombs — more than 8,300 of them — while almost 8,000 combat engagements took place at the front.
