Occupiers forced to walk more than 10 km to reach positions on the Prydniprovskyi axis
Russian forces are facing significant logistical difficulties on the Prydniprovskyi axis and are also unable to make successful advances toward the Dnipro River
This was stated on Army TV by Serhii Serhiiev, spokesperson for the 34th Separate Marine Brigade “Borysfen”.
According to him, conditions in southern Ukraine are “hot in every sense” for the occupiers. Ukrainian troops are expanding their kill zone on a daily basis, particularly in the areas of Kostohryzove and Radensk.
“We already control the area so well that we are expanding the kill zone every single day. If you look at the map — Kostohryzove, Radensk — the Russians can no longer feel safe there. We reach them everywhere, find them, and destroy them. One could say that we have the initiative”, — Serhiiev said.
He added that Russian troops are now unable to properly deliver ammunition and supplies to their positions.
“The Russians can no longer drive directly to their positions. They are forced to carry ammunition and supplies on their backs and walk 10–11 kilometers on foot just to reach their infantry or artillery positions”, — the spokesperson said.
According to Serhiiev, Ukrainian drones continuously monitor the situation.
“Our wings, our eyes, are constantly in the sky. We detect and eliminate many Russians this way” , — he said.
The spokesperson also stressed that Ukrainian forces hold the advantage in artillery.
“We have the initiative in artillery. Today, the ‘Three Axes’ worked very effectively against the enemy”, —he noted.
Despite constant attempts by Russian forces to reach the Dnipro River, they have failed to achieve that objective.
“The occupiers are trying to advance toward the Dnipro River. They’re doing a very poor job of it. I wouldn’t say they’re complete bums, but their statistics are extremely poor”, — the spokesperson said.
As an example, he cited the story of a Russian prisoner of war captured by Ukrainian troops with the help of drones.
“Recently, we captured four Russians using drones. One of them turned out to be Brezhnev’s great-grandson. He has now given a lengthy interview in which he says that advancing to the Dnipro is simply impossible, even though the Russians send dozens of soldiers every day. None of them make it. The fact that he survived was simply extraordinary luck”, — Serhiiev noted.
At the same time, Serhiiev pointed out that the withdrawal of Russian artillery also has negative consequences for civilians.
“I can say that their artillery is pulling back, but unfortunately this has consequences. Whereas Kherson used to be largely bypassed by Shahed drones, they no longer hesitate to launch Shaheds directly at the city”, — the serviceman said.
In addition, according to the spokesperson, Russian forces periodically employ guided aerial bombs as well as Molniya strike drones.
“We also periodically see KAB strikes here. In addition, Molniya drones continue to be launched in large numbers. However, the interceptor drone teams of the 34th Brigade consistently rank among the top five in the Armed Forces because there is plenty of work and our effectiveness remains very high”, — Serhiiev concluded.
