The 7th Air Assault Corps has already begun using its standard medium-range strike drones to engage enemy targets at distances of approximately 100 kilometers f

This was stated by Brigadier General Yevhen Lasiichuk, Commander of the 7th Rapid Response Air Assault Corps, in an interview with RBC-Ukraine.

According to him, middle strike capabilities are no longer a future concept—they are already a practical tool that Ukraine’s Defense Forces are expanding and integrating into frontline units.

“Middle strike is already our present, and it is also our future. We will continue to expand this system and introduce it into every unit”, — Yevhen Lasiichuk said.

The commander explained that these capabilities make it possible to detect and destroy enemy forces not only on the front line but also deep in their rear areas — along movement routes, in concentration areas, and near command posts.

This work is particularly important on the Pokrovsk axis.

According to Lasiichuk, Ukrainian forces are working to block the routes used by Russian troops advancing toward Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad.

“Today, we are trying to block every route the enemy uses to move toward Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad”, —  the commander of the 7th Air Assault Corps said.

He added that middle strike capabilities are being developed in parallel with other long-range fire assets.

In practice, this means Ukrainian forces can engage enemy targets at depths of around 100 kilometers beyond the line of combat contact.

“Wherever we detect the enemy, wherever we know their command posts are located, we strike them”, — Yevhen Lasiichuk said.

Commenting on Ukraine’s deep strike operations against targets far behind enemy lines, the commander gave a brief but telling assessment of their effectiveness.

“Moscow is burning — that’s a good thing”, — he said.
