NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte arrives in Kyiv
On the morning of June 3, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte arrived in Kyiv for an official visit.
The distinguished guest was welcomed at the capital’s main railway station.
For security reasons, Mark Rutte’s visit was unannounced, as was the case on previous occasions. He last visited Kyiv in early February, during which he toured one of the city’s thermal power plants destroyed by Russian shelling.
In early May, the NATO Secretary General held a meeting with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy to discuss defense support for Ukraine and securing new contributions to the PURL program.
As reported by ArmiyaInform, General Alexus Grynkewich, Commander of Allied Air Command (and NATO’s senior military representative), stated that Ukraine requires continuous and predictable support from its allies.
This is precisely why supporting Ukraine through PURL and other mechanisms remains critically important.
He also noted that the Ukrainian military demonstrates resilience and innovation in their fight against the Russian army, sharing their invaluable experience with Western partners.
