Fighting continues in the northern part of the city of Pokrovsk in the Pokrovsk direction. A mechanized assault was repelled there the day before.
This was reported during the national telethon “United News” by the deputy commander of a special operations group of the “Typhoon” special unit, callsign “Scorpion”.
According to him, the Defense Forces are still holding the northern part of Pokrovsk. The fighting is heavy, and the enemy constantly redeploys reserves there.
The enemy is not inventing anything new: as before, it accumulates forces and then sends small infantry groups toward the line of contact. These groups are destroyed on approach.
“The enemy carried out one mechanized assault using motorcycles and lightly armored MT-LB vehicles, but they did not achieve their objective. The MT-LBs were destroyed before reaching our positions. Small groups of motorcycle assault troops tried to break through tree lines toward our positions but were eliminated. Two pairs of motorcyclists managed to break through to our positions, but were destroyed directly at the positions”, — the deputy commander said.
