This was stated during an ArmyTV stream on March 20 by Nazar Voitenkov, an officer of the communications unit of the 33rd Separate Mechanized Brigade.

“Essentially, they [Russian assault troops — ed.] have no option but to keep moving forward.

But due to the limited resources they carry — food, ammunition, and so on — they die”, — he said.

The only way for Russian assault troops to stay alive is to surrender, as they have no chance either to retreat or to receive proper supplies.

“For them, the best option is to surrender, which we have also seen in the Pokrovsk direction.

The occupiers who reached us were simply happy creatures who finally managed to drink and eat.

They have no chance to retreat at all — only ‘forward, forward’ and that’s it”, — the serviceman explained.

Currently, the 33rd Separate Mechanized Brigade is defending Ukraine in the Kupiansk direction, where the intensity of enemy assaults has gradually increased since early March.

“Every day we have assault actions; several infantrymen inevitably enter our defensive zone during the day and try to advance. Over the past few days, we have eliminated about ten occupiers.

The trend is that since the beginning of the month, we have been destroying more and more of their infantry. Most likely, in the Kupiansk direction they will increase the number of assault operations”, — Nazar Voitenkov reported.
