“In Latvia, at NATO’s innovation range for unmanned systems, the first cycle of testing, evaluation, verification, and validation (TEVV) of unmanned aerial systems and counter-UAS technologies took place”, — the NATO Representation in Ukraine reported.
Defense industry companies from NATO countries and Ukraine, as well as representatives of operational units and government bodies, gathered at the Sēlija range for the first in a series of TEVV activities planned for 2026.
The range allows for high-speed and high-altitude interception flights, as well as testing various electronic warfare solutions in conditions close to real combat.
NATO innovation ranges enable allies to accelerate testing, experimentation, and the implementation of innovative technologies across different operational domains.
The campaign also highlights NATO–Ukraine cooperation in defense innovation and the joint development of capabilities to respond to modern operational needs.
