The intensity of combat in the Oleksandrivka direction has significantly increased, with the enemy using armored vehicles more actively.
This was reported during an Army TV stream on March 18 by Senior Lieutenant Denys Bobkov, Head of Communications of the 37th Separate Marine Brigade.
“Over the past week, we’ve seen enemy activity increase. Previously, we had 2–3 engagements per day; now the number has nearly tripled. Accordingly, the number of enemy personnel involved has increased. Over the past day, we destroyed 18 enemy troops and wounded three more”, — he said.
During assaults, the occupiers are trying to use heavy armored vehicles. Recently, they deployed a tank.
“The enemy has started using equipment more actively. Not long ago, we saw a rare beast in our sector — a tank.
They rolled it out, attempted a breakthrough, but it was successfully destroyed. Our guys hit it in a holding area — it didn’t get far”, — he added.
Russian forces have also increased the use of Molniya strike UAVs.
“The activity of Molniya drones has increased significantly compared to the beginning of the month. There are no major changes in FPV or Mavic usage, but Molniya and their reconnaissance ‘wings’ have become much more active”, — Bobkov noted.
