The assault did not go as planned: paratroopers destroyed enemy equipment and infantry in the Sloviansk direction
The occupiers made an unsuccessful attempt to break through the defense using an “armored” MT-LB, four motorcycles, and several small infantry groups.
Footage of repelling the enemy assault was published on the page of the 81st Separate Airmobile Slobozhanska Brigade of the 7th Rapid Response Corps of the Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to preliminary information, the enemy’s equipment advanced from the temporarily occupied city of Siversk.
The enemy attempted to outflank the positions of Ukrainian paratroopers. The main strike was carried out using an MT-LB, while on the opposite flank the Russians deployed motorcycles and small groups to distract attention.
After the assault began, drone operators of the 81st Brigade and adjacent units reacted immediately and destroyed the enemy MT-LB along with its troops, as well as enemy personnel on motorcycles.
As noted by the brigade, efforts are ongoing to detect and eliminate the remaining enemy infantry moving in small groups of two to three people on foot.
With the onset of warmer weather, Russians are likely to make such breakthrough attempts more frequently, searching for weak points in Ukrainian defenses. However, Ukrainian paratroopers are ready for any enemy scenario.
