On the night of March 17 (starting from 18:00 on March 16), the enemy attacked with 178 strike UAVs of the Shahed type, Gerbera, Italmas, and other drone types.
This was reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The drones were launched from the following directions: Bryansk, Oryol, Kursk, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russia), as well as Hvardiiske and Chauda in temporarily occupied Crimea. About 110 of them were Shaheds.
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
According to preliminary data as of 08:00, 154 enemy UAVs were shot down or suppressed by air defense.
Hits by 22 strike UAVs were recorded at 12 locations, as well as debris falling at two locations.
