Russia’s overall goal is to produce 1,000 drones per day. To counter this, approximately 2–3 thousand interceptors are needed.
This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in an interview with the New York Post.
According to the head of state, the enemy is reducing missile production and redirecting funding to increase drone production.
“Why? Today, a Russian attack on Ukraine consists of 350–500 drones per day. Russia wants to reach 600–800 drones in 2026, but their overall goal is 1,000 drones per day”, — the President said.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that this number must be intercepted by interceptor drones, and to counter it, about 2–3 thousand interceptors are needed.
“What is our expertise? The fact that an interceptor drone costs $3,000–$5,000. That is, about $10,000 is spent per ‘Shahed’, while a missile for a Patriot costs $4 million”, — the President emphasized.
“Ukraine spends $10,000 to shoot down a drone, while a Middle Eastern country spends $4 million. This is exactly the experience we offer” , — the statement said.
The enemy is attempting to develop the production of naval drones and copy successful Ukrainian practices — both technical solutions and tactics.
