On the Kupiansk axis, a Russian soldier was captured whose only task had been to carry a tricolor flag to a specific location and wave it on camera for a drone.
After completing the task, the occupier had been promised immediate evacuation to the rear for rest.
This was reported during an ArmyTV livestream on March 13 by Junior Lieutenant Vadym Ponka, communications officer of the 14th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Prince Roman the Great.
“We had one occupier captured by our guys. His command gave him a task. [To reach a certain point with a flag and show the tricolor to the drone — ed.]
They dropped the flag to him from a drone and said: ‘Go there. Unfold the flag, show it to the bird, and then we will take you to the rear where you can rest’”, — he said.
However, the Russian invader failed to complete the mission.
“But things did not go as planned — he was captured and tearfully told the story of how he had been deceived, how he used to be a good guy and now ended up going into assault”, — Vadym Ponka said.
The captured Russian’s story is sad and instructive, although he can be considered lucky because he survived.
“He worked at some Russian company, and that company started engaging in shady activities. They pinned a criminal case on him.
So in order to ‘clear’ this criminal record he signed a contract and received money”, — the communications officer said.
