Russia’s losses at the front have exceeded the replenishment of the enemy army for three consecutive months.
This was reported by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Oleksandr Syrskyi, on March 13.
He held a substantive meeting with the Commander-in-Chief of the Swedish Armed Forces, General Mikael Claesson.
“The visit of our Swedish colleague is a signal that partnership with Ukraine remains Sweden’s strategic priority. In the person of General Claesson, I thanked the King, the government, and the people of Sweden for their support of Ukraine and for military assistance to our Defense Forces.
In particular, we are sincerely grateful for the 21st aid package from Sweden, which is based on modern air defense systems, Deep Strike capabilities, and ammunition”, — he wrote.
As Oleksandr Syrskyi noted, Stockholm remains a committed participant in coalitions for the development of Ukraine’s Air Force, Navy, Unmanned Systems, armored vehicles, demining, and information technologies.
“Such active engagement by Sweden is important for consolidating the joint efforts of partners to compel Russia to peace. At present, the Kremlin has no intention of halting offensive actions, although it is suffering significant battlefield losses that have exceeded the replenishment of the Russian army for three consecutive months”, — he said.
Oleksandr Syrskyi informed the Commander-in-Chief of the Swedish Armed Forces about the operational situation along the 1,200-km active frontline and about the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for weapons and military equipment.
“I expressed confidence that fruitful military cooperation with our NATO partners here in Ukraine is laying the foundation for a new security architecture for all of Europe”, — he concluded.
