On the night of March 13, Russia carried out a combined air strike against Ukraine: the enemy launched one ballistic missile and about 126 strike UAVs.
This was reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to the military, starting from 18:00 on March 12, the enemy attacked with an Iskander-M ballistic missile, launched from Russia’s Rostov region.
A total of 126 strike UAVs were also used, including Shahed-type drones, as well as Gerbera, Italmas and other imitation UAVs. About 80 of them were Shaheds.
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
According to preliminary data, as of 08:00, air defense shot down or suppressed 117 enemy UAVs.
At the same time, hits by the ballistic missile and 8 strike UAVs were recorded at 7 locations, as well as the fall of downed drones (debris) at 5 locations.
“The attack continues, several enemy UAVs remain in the airspace. Follow safety rules!” — the Air Force said.
The enemy is attempting to develop the production of naval drones and copy successful Ukrainian practices — both technical solutions and tactics.
Fighting continues in the northern part of the city of Pokrovsk in the Pokrovsk direction. A mechanized assault was repelled there the day before.
