After several successful strikes on BM-21 Grad multiple launch rocket systems in the Lyman direction, the Russians were forced to pull these systems deeper into
This was reported in an exclusive comment to ArmyInform by the commander of a squad in the Signum battalion, callsign “Zoria”.
“A multiple launch rocket system is a more complex target than a towed gun because it is mobile.
The enemy drives to the firing position, deploys shooters against drones, and tries to fire very quickly and leave quickly so that we have less time to react.
But since the beginning of the year, we have already managed to catch two Grads — one moving to the firing position and another directly during combat work at the firing position.
We successfully struck both. Unfortunately, without detonation of the ammunition, but both MLRS were critically damaged”, — he said.
The recently destroyed BM-21 Grad MLRS is already the third on Signum’s account since the beginning of the year.
The detection of this Grad involved an element of military luck. However, as is known, luck smiles on those who work systematically and are ready to react instantly to an unexpected gift of fate.
“The Grad we see in the video was detected in the enemy’s tactical rear. The enemy did not expect to encounter us there.
We understood that we might find something interesting in that location because earlier we had detected a caponiere that we decided to inspect.
We flew in to take a look — and behind the net we saw the clear outlines of a Grad”, — Zoria said.
The decision to destroy the MLRS was obvious, so the drone operators struck the Grad, burning the vehicle completely.
“Understanding that a Grad in the rear should be loaded, we struck the area of the rocket pack.
Everything happened as it should have, with rocket detonation. The MLRS burned completely; the enemy did not return there again.
Now the Grad staging areas are much farther from the frontline, and we are trying to detect them during movement to firing positions or from firing positions”, — the Signum squad commander said.
Now, to reach and return from a firing position, enemy MLRS must cover a longer distance and therefore remain in motion longer.
This makes the Grads more vulnerable during movement, because the longer they are on the road, the higher the chances that our drone operators will detect and strike these MLRS.

Bohdan, callsign “Maniac” — it sounds harsh, but at the front callsigns often appear in moments when someone does a little more than what is expected of them.
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine explained why PAC-3 missiles for the Patriot system are one of the key elements in protecting Ukraine’s skies.
Four Ukrainian paratroopers stormed a Russian position: four occupiers were captured, while one was eliminated on the spot after resisting.
The occupiers are actively adopting the technical innovations and tactical approaches of Ukrainian UAV operators — it takes them only two to three months.
Russia’s losses at the front have exceeded the replenishment of the enemy army for three consecutive months.
Strikes against facilities related to Russia’s use of unmanned systems are one of the priority areas of combat operations for the Unmanned Systems Forces.
