“Spartan” continues replenishing the exchange fund while performing missions in the Pokrovsk direction. This time they captured four Russians.
When asked why they went to fight, the answers were similar: to earn money, to get early release from prison.
Two former convicts said their commanders ordered them to reach a point and wait for instructions — and then abandoned them.
The occupiers barely survived, frostbit their feet, but later were “warmed” by Spartan’s drones, which used loudspeakers to offer them a chance to surrender.
Another prisoner said his comrades were “mowed down like grass”. He hid, and later chose the chance to stay alive.
