A Russian strike on Marhanets has claimed the life of a three-month-old boy, with 11 more people injured.

The State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported this.

Russian forces struck Marhanets in the Nikopol district of Dnipropetrovsk region overnight. A four-storey residential building was hit.

A three-month-old boy was killed in the attack. Eleven more people were injured, seven of them in a serious condition in hospital.

The casualties include a five-year-old boy and a 12-year-old girl.

A fire broke out in the building after the strike. Rescuers extinguished the flames, provided pre-hospital care to the injured and helped move people to ambulances.
