The Defence Intelligence of Ukraine released data on ten Russian athletes who entered Paralympic sports through rehabilitation programs for participants in the

This was reported by the Main Intelligence Directorate.

The information was published in the “Champions of Terror” section of the War&Sanctions portal.

The joint project of the Russian Paralympic Committee and the Russian nationwide movement “Zdorovoe Otechestvo”, titled “Heroes of Our Time”, aims to support SMO participants who became disabled.

Through Paralympic sports, the invaders who participated in the war against Ukraine are being physically and socially adapted.

Among the Russian “parasportsmen” revealed today:

  • Shinkar Vladyslav Leonidovych — member of Russia’s wheelchair fencing Paralympic team; former deputy battalion commander for armament and deputy commander for personnel work in the “Vostok” battalion;

  • Bushmakin Anton Pavlovych — member of the national canoe/kayak Paralympic team, sapper, former marine, participant in combat near Avdiivka. He is the protagonist of the documentary “Shagay”, where he states he is preparing for the Paralympics and intends to compete under the Russian flag;

  • Hyeninov Tsiden Bairovych — member of the Russian Armed Forces sports team, nominee for “Best Athlete of 2025” by CISM, lieutenant of the Russian Armed Forces. Served in the 5th Guards Separate Tank Tatsinskaya Brigade, which participated in the assault on the Kyiv region.

Ukrainian intelligence stresses that such Russian athletes must be excluded from the global sports community and banned from competing internationally, even as neutral athletes.

Military intelligence and the Ministry of Youth and Sports continue systematic work to block Russian influence agents abroad.
