The enemy assaults exclusively with infantry.
This was stated during an ArmyTV stream on March 2 by the commander of a tank battalion of the 30th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Prince Kostiantyn Ostrozkyi, callsign “Vovk”.
“At the moment, the enemy does not use vehicles. They rely heavily on their assault groups of disposable servicemen. Tanks, as I understand, the situation doesn’t even allow them to use, because we have good control of the area with our UAVs. Plus, the battlefield is very hilly”, — he said.
Units of the Defense Forces also keep heavy armored vehicles in the rear.
“Tank activity is reduced because more effort is directed toward UAV systems. But we still don’t forget about tanks and use them. Tanks remain in designated areas, in constant combat readiness for direct fire if necessary — for destroying armored vehicles or large assault groups. We also use tanks for indirect fire”, — explained “Vovk”.
