Investigators from law enforcement agencies, together with representatives of Ukrainian expert institutions, will carry out all necessary measures aimed at identifying the repatriated fallen.
The repatriation efforts were made possible through the joint and coordinated work of representatives of the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War, the Joint Center under the Security Service of Ukraine, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, the Office of the Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for Human Rights, the Secretariat of the Commissioner for Missing Persons under Special Circumstances, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, and other structures of Ukraine’s Security and Defense Sector.
The Coordination Headquarters once again expressed sincere gratitude to the International Committee of the Red Cross for facilitating and supporting the implementation of the repatriation measures.
“Special thanks to the personnel of the Joint Center for Ensuring POW-related Measures of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who transport the repatriated fallen to designated state specialized institutions, organize the transfer of bodies to representatives of law enforcement agencies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs system and forensic medical examinations under the Ministry of Health system, as well as to representatives of civil-military cooperation structures of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who provide overall coordination”, — the statement reads.
