The Office of the President of Ukraine reported this.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen agreed on the participation of the European Commission in implementing Ukraine’s updated energy strategy — restoring energy infrastructure and rebuilding the system.

Since Russia continues attempts to destroy Ukraine’s energy system, it is already important to begin preparations for the next winter.

Ursula von der Leyen also announced a new energy plan: Repair, Rebuild, Restart, which will include a €920 million package to stabilize Ukraine’s energy system.

President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola signed, on behalf of the European Parliament, an agreement to provide Ukraine a €90 billion loan. It is important that this financial support begins working for Ukraine as quickly and as effectively as possible.

Partners have allocated new support packages for Ukraine:

  • Sweden — military aid package worth over $1.5 billion
  • Norway — $1.2 billion for joint drone production
  • Denmark — additional €510 million in military support for Ukraine in 2026, and €120 million in humanitarian and energy assistance
  • Finland — €20 million in humanitarian aid and 52 generators
  • Lithuania — 30 MANPADS missiles; a Joint Statement on intentions for co-production of defense products in Lithuania; at least €100 million for the first projects under the SAFE program
  • Estonia — €11 million for PURL
  • Latvia — €10 million for PURL
  • Iceland — €200,000 for energy equipment

Overall, the leaders of the Nordic and Baltic countries at the NB8 summit in Kyiv stated that this year their defense assistance to Ukraine will reach nearly €12.5 billion, including contributions to PURL.

The United Kingdom — £20 million to support Ukraine’s energy system; £5.7 million in humanitarian aid for frontline communities and IDPs; £30 million to support resilience and accountability for war crimes.

Canada — 2 billion Canadian dollars in military aid, 400 armored vehicles, and 20 million Canadian dollars to the Energy Support Fund of Ukraine.

New Zealand — $4.8 million for humanitarian aid and to the Targeted Fund for Support, Recovery, Reconstruction, and Reform.

Croatia — €1.5 million to Ukraine Support Fund, €500,000 in energy equipment, and €1.5 million worth of robotic demining machines.

Partners also announced new sanctions packages against Russia:

  • The United Kingdom — the largest package since 2022, targeting Russia’s oil and gas revenues and the shadow fleet
  • Australia — sanctions against 180 individuals and legal entities, as well as vessels of Russia’s shadow fleet; also reduced the price cap on Russian oil to $44.1 per barrel
  • Canada — sanctions against 21 individuals, 53 organizations, and 100 vessels of Russia’s shadow fleet; likewise lowering the price cap to $44.1 per barrel
  • New Zealand — its 34th sanctions package against individuals, companies, and vessels supporting Russian aggression; also reduced the price cap to $44.1 per barrel

On the fourth anniversary of the start of Russia’s full-scale aggression, the UN General Assembly adopted Ukraine’s resolution “Supporting Sustainable Peace in Ukraine”, — with 107 countries voting in favor.

Leaders of the G7 confirmed their unwavering support for Ukraine’s territorial integrity, freedom, sovereignty, and independence. They also support commitments within the Coalition of the Willing to provide security guarantees.

In recent weeks, G7 countries have delivered more than 2,500 generators and other necessary equipment (transformers, turbines, cogeneration units, boilers, and repair equipment) to Ukraine.
