The President said this in an interview with the Belarusian independent media outlet Zerkalo.
“Sanctions against Lukashenko are the first step. We will develop this and are now working on a legal basis for extending the sanctions policy. This will apply not only to Lukashenko but also to his entourage, his sons, and so on”, — Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted.
The President promised to monitor all military assistance provided by the Belarusian dictator.
“We did not raise the issue of Lukashenko with the American side because we saw that the Americans were inclined to find communication with him and achieve results through diplomatic means. We will now engage in this track and discuss with the Americans that this cannot continue. He supports the Russian regime — not only supports Russia’s geopolitics, but supports it with war and helps kill civilians”, — Zelenskyy said.
According to him, there is evidence of this.
“All of this is on the maps, in videos — everything is recorded: how the ‘Shaheds’ entered from the territory of Belarus with the help of relay stations. And after that, strikes were carried out on us, resulting in civilian casualties. For us, this is a crime. And now we will work on the legal component of these crimes”, — the President stated.
