This was reported on February 23 on Army TV by junior lieutenant Vadym Ponka, an officer of the communications department of the 14th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Prince Roman the Great.
“In the Kupiansk direction, the situation has been difficult, remains difficult, and will likely continue to be difficult in the foreseeable future.
The enemy periodically conducts assault actions. Our men and women try to detect this threat in advance, warn the servicemen on the front line, and completely neutralize any threat”, — he said.
In addition to traditional infantry assaults, the occupiers are resorting to light armored vehicles.
“Recently, the enemy assaults in infantry formations, but has started using quad bikes, motorcycles, and occasionally light armored vehicles such as MT-LB more actively”, — the officer reported.
The greatest threats to Ukrainian defenders are guided aerial bombs and enemy strike drones. All necessary measures are being taken to counter the enemy and protect Ukrainian soldiers.
