Ministry of Defense digitized military equipment supply processes
Now the entire path of military equipment — from procurement to delivery to a military unit — goes through a digital system.
This is stated in a message on the website of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
The Ministry completed the launch of the Logistics Support Management (ULZ) system for military equipment in the Logistics Forces Command and storage bases.
This includes armored medevacs, armored vans such as “Kozak” and “Novator”, trucks, pickups, SUVs, passenger cars, buggies, quad bikes, motorcycles, etc.
In real time, one can check what equipment has been purchased, what has arrived, and what has been shipped and received at storage bases. Previously, document transfer and issuance confirmation could take several days — now documents are available immediately, and equipment movement is displayed online, reducing supply times for units.
What this changes:
- documents are transferred instantly;
- contract arrivals are displayed in real time;
- equipment shipments to units can be tracked online;
- procurement, distribution, and reporting processes are automated;
- logistics delays are reduced;
- management decisions are made faster.
Next, the system will be launched in military units performing combat tasks.
About the system:
The ULZ system is built on the basis of SAP — a data-based defense resource management software used by over 90% of NATO armies. It allows real-time visibility of available resources, tracking their movement, planning supplies, and making decisions based on current data.
