The enemy operates with small assault groups in the South-Slobozhanske direction and has no significant advance.
Ihor Romanenko, spokesman for the 3rd Separate Heavy Mechanized Brigade, reported this on Suspilne.
“The brigade, together with adjacent units, holds the defense on the eastern flank of the South-Slobozhanske direction. The enemy attempts to push through every day, but these are small groups, isolated assault teams trying to slip between our positions. But we successfully deal with them”, — Romanenko said.
He also highlighted the work of the “Iron Birds” drone-interception battery. Almost daily they shoot down both strike UAVs like “Molniya” and expensive “Lancets” or drones with artificial intelligence, as well as reconnaissance UAVs.
“This is very difficult work. Recently, the hunt for a Zala UAV — which was correcting enemy artillery fire — lasted an hour and a half. It had special equipment to evade interceptors. Our guys call such drones ‘dodgers’, but they still catch and destroy them”, — he said.
