Recently, operators of the Drone Systems Forces hunted down five modern Russian Tor surface-to-air missile systems in various directions.

This is part of a systematic and consistent process of destroying the enemy’s air-defense assets, which the Drone Systems Forces call “AD-cide”. Its goal is to knock out the enemy’s air-defense shield to open space for Ukrainian drones and aviation.

Major Olha Meloshyna, spokesperson of the Drone Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, told ArmyInform in an exclusive comment.

“Since the formation of the Drone Systems Forces grouping on June 1, 2025, according to the official online scoreboard of combat results, the total number of destroyed targets — including SAM systems, anti-aircraft guns, and multiple-launch rocket systems — is 275 units”, — she said.

Recently, operators destroyed five modern Tor SAM systems in different directions. Two were reported on February 22, and three more on February 20.

“This systematic and consistent process, called ‘AD-cide’, is one of our priorities, as it not only weakens the enemy’s ability to cover its troops but also breaks the integrity of its defensive system, opens space for Ukrainian drones and aviation, and creates favorable conditions for further precision strikes on critical elements of the enemy’s military infrastructure”, — Meloshyna emphasized.

Earlier, ArmyInform reported that the Drone Systems Forces regularly strike Russian logistics, undermining the enemy’s combat readiness.
