Russians attempted to sell their audience on supposed “successful steps” in Ukraine but failed.
This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelensky.
“Even their own audience — the nationalist, radicalized part of Russian society — does not trust the government or Putin. Because they see that there are no successful steps on the battlefield”, — Zelensky said.
The President reported that Russia is currently losing 30,000–35,000 troops per month, killed or severely wounded.
“They really pay with the lives of 156 people to occupy just one kilometer of our land. And we also have our offensive actions — and then they lose it back”, — he added.
Earlier, ArmyInform reported that in January 2026, Russia lost more soldiers on the battlefield than it managed to mobilize.
Meanwhile, Ukraine’s Defense Forces are actively developing the drone component for mass enemy destruction. Since summer 2025, the effectiveness of the UAV Forces alone in destroying enemy targets has increased from 4% to 33%.
Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov, during the Ramstein meeting, informed European partners that Russian losses are growing: in December alone, Russia suffered 35,000 killed and severely wounded — all verified and with video confirmation.
