On February 18, another round of trilateral negotiations in the Ukraine–USA–Russia format took place. The work was intensive and substantive.
This was reported by Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Rustem Umerov.
“We thank our American partners for ensuring the process continues and does not stop. We thank the Swiss side for their hospitality and the platform provided.
The delegation included political and military components. We discussed security parameters and mechanisms for implementing possible decisions. We managed to clarify some issues, while others require further coordination”, — Umerov said.
According to him, the Ukrainian side is focused on working out the key provisions necessary to finalize the process.
“This is complex work that requires agreement from all sides and time. There is progress, but without details for now.
The next step is to reach the necessary level of alignment to present the prepared decisions for consideration by the presidents. Our task is to prepare a real, not formal, basis for this.
Ukraine is working constructively. The final goal remains unchanged — a just and lasting peace”, — Umerov noted.
