In the Kramatorsk direction near Chasiv Yar, eight Russians surrendered within a week.
This was reported on Army TV by Kostyantyn Melnykov, spokesperson of the 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after King Danylo.
According to him, only last week 8 occupiers surrendered to the brigade near Chasiv Yar. This is unsurprising, as Russian commanders send infantry into “meat assaults” without supplying water or food. There were cases when Russians surrendered simply because they had been forced to drink their own urine for two weeks.
“Two occupiers walked to surrender under the escort of our drone. But a Russian drone caught up with them. The one in the back died on the spot, the first was lucky enough to reach Ukrainian positions and surrender”, — he said.
Another prisoner’s ordeal lasted about three days. He was wounded by a munition dropped from a heavy bomber and retreated to his own positions.
“Clearly, the commanders on that position did not expect to see him again. They greeted him very warmly. His leg was wounded. They covered the wound with brilliant green antiseptic and told him to continue storming in the same direction”, — Melnykov said.
