Vladyslav, callsign “Yoh”, a pilot of the 130th Territorial Defense Battalion, began flying kamikaze drones and later switched to bombers.
An interview with him was published on the battalion’s channel.
“I came to the 130th Battalion because my brother served here, so I knew where I was going. I knew the guys were reliable and the command was good. Like everyone else, I first had training. Then I arrived at the unit.
I worked for a few months on FPV drones, but then we got bombers, and my partner and I began to develop in that direction. Now we’re engaged in both mining and direct strikes on targets. A bomber is the same FPV drone, just one that does many flights. Someday it will fall too, but until then it will do a lot of work”, — Yoh said.
According to him, most of their time is now dedicated to mining.
“We mine the approaches to our positions, we mine the areas where the enemy most often moves. The Mavics track their movements, and then we fly out to lay the mines”, — Yoh says.
